All houses are totally built in traditional style, most of them have wooden carved ornamental windows and doors. Excellent for a beach holiday.All houses are built in a traditional style with slate roofs.
Set in a charming position in vast green lands regarded as the centre of the woodland area in Pelion.It is an ideal place for fishing while the natural beauty attracts every visitor.
Its history is very old. The ruins and the findings in the area present the town´s history. Following recent research this town is dated to the Horner´s time. Until today it has always been a developed centre.
The most attractive sights are:
1)Rigas , school where Rigas Feraios was taught.
2) The fascinating churches of Ayias Pajaskevis, Ayiou Giorgi, Ayias Kiriakis and Ayiou Nikola
